The End of the Alphabet
Keep posted as La fin de l'alphabet, CS Richardson's best-selling debut novel, reaches the tablets next week. It was delightful to facilitate Ambrose and Zipper's crossing into French. I wish them a hearty bon voyage.
Here's an interview with the author.
And here's a book review.

The 2006 Governor
General's Literary Awards
I am
delighted to
announce that the Canada Council for the Arts has
chosen my work Un jardin de papier, a
translation of Thomas Wharton's Salamander,
to receive the Governor
General's Literary Award for French Translation.
More
information here.
I wish to thank Thomas Wharton for writing such an
outstanding book, Alto, which is to say Antoine Tanguay, for publishing
Un jardin
de papier with all his passion and talent, and my teachers
at Université du Québec, Glendon College and
Université de Montréal,
as well as all the fine professionals I've had the
pleasure to work with, for helping me hone the fine art of
translating.
